Mary Wiebe 2019

OBITUARY
Mary Wiebe
December 25, 1921 – September 18, 2018
On September 18, 2018, Mary Wiebe (born December 25, 1921) loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all, surrounded by her family, went to meet her Saviour.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Eileen Finlay, Sharon Lougheed (Rob), Calvin (Beth) and Kenton (Linda); eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, one brother, many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. Predeceased by her husband of almost 65 years, John, three brothers, two sisters, and her son-in-law, Brooks Finlay.
Born on a farm in Aberdeen, SK, Mary worked at a factory in Ontario during the war. While there, she made her commitment to John, who left for overseas duty. After the war, they married and lived in Saskatoon before coming to Edmonton with their two daughters. Later, two sons joined the family. How John and Mary loved and found great joy in their family and the visits of loved ones!
Mary leaves a legacy of great kindness to everyone who knew her. The family recognizes and so appreciates the kind and compassionate care that Mary received at the Misericordia Hospital and Laurier House Lynnwood.
Memorial service for Mary’s exemplary life: 2 PM, Monday, September 24, Crestwood Presbyterian Church, 14304 96 Avenue (Mary’s church home for more than 58 years).
Visitation: 7 PM, Saturday, September 22, First Memorial Harmony Chapel, 10541 81 Avenue.
