Garner, Mary Monica (nee Scanlon)
Passed away peacefully at Wentworth Heights on Thursday, February 14, 2019 in her 95th year with her family by her side. Mary is survived by daughters Jo-Ann (Jeff), Maureen (Bill), son Leslie (Dina), brother Jerry and sister in law Mary Ann. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Corey, Haleigh, Brittany and Madison.
Predeceased by her loving husband Leslie, daughter Linda (Bill) and grandson Ryan. Mary was a lifelong member of the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King where she served on many committees and was also a past member of the Catholic Women’s League.
A heartfelt thankyou to the staff of Wentworth Heights for their help and compassion.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the Cathedral Basilica at 714 King Street West in Hamilton on Saturday February 16th at 10am with private interment to follow. Online condolences can be made at www.dermodys.com. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stem Cell Transplant Campaign through the Juravinski Hospital would be welcomed.
