In Loving Memory Of
Mark Edward Fenn
Mark Edward Fenn, resident of smith, Alberta, formerly of Waterford, Ontario passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Prairie Lakes Hospice in Grande Prairie, in his 65th year. Mark fought a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Mark was born in Woodstock, Ontario and was a resident of Plattsville, Ontario, and subsequently Waterford, Ontario. Mark moved to Alberta as a young man and eventually found his “place in the sun” in smith, Alberta.
Mark was a young man when he moved to Alberta and he embraced the energy and forward vision of northern Alberta with ambition and excitement. He became a licensed mechanic and worked in the world of the oil sands. A “mobile mechanic,” “fibre optics,” “hydraulics” and “machinery repairs” were the words we heard in discussion with him. His last place of employment was Leavitt and he spoke fondly of his coworkers there.
He is survived by his sister Patricia, and her husband George, his brother Richard and his wife Irene. He has seven nieces and nephews and seventeen grand-nieces and nephews. His Alberta family, Kelsey and Rae-Anne Fjeld and their children Colby and Gracelynn, and longtime neighbors, miss Mark already.
Mark was predeceased by his father James Fenn and his mother Reta Irene Daniells Fenn.
Mark was feisty and challenging until the end of his days on earth and yet a gentleman until the very end. We feel he would want us to thank the staff at the Prairie Lakes Hospice for their sensitivity and kindness to him and certainly they were more than kind to us. Thank you.
Cremation has taken place and Mark will rest with his parents at the Chesterfield Cemetery in Bright, Ontario.
Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society AB/NWT Division (200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5).
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Mark Edward Fenn June 25 1954 February 4 2019..
