Margaret Pauline McLennan
1927-2019
It is with great sadness the family announces the
passing of Margaret Pauline (Nesbit) McLennan of Saint John, NB, wife
of the late Norman Weldon McLennan, which occurred on February 26,
2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on December 24, 1927 in
Manchester, NH, she is a daughter of the late Frederic Nesbit. She
grew up in Summerville with her aunt and uncle Maude and George
Souther. She retired from the Saint John Regional Hospital and
Carleton Kirk Lodge in the food services department and house keeper
at the Irving Residence. She is survived by her children, Fred (Melve)
McLennan of Saint John, Janet Conwell (Preston) of Grand
Bay/Westfield, Carolyn Smith (Jeff) of Calgary, David McLennan (Trina)
of Saint John and Heather Ruttan (Brent) of Kingston Peninsula; eleven
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister,
Elsie Sewell.
Thanks to all the caregivers especially Joyce Geldart, Mary
Ann Chapman and Jan Adams who were with us along the way. Thanks to
the nurses of 5CS and 3BN and Dr. Chris O’Brien for his care
over the years.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461
Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7425) with visiting on
Friday, March 1, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be
celebrated on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Brenan’s Bay View
Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Interment to take place in Greenwood Cemetery
at a later date. Remembrances to a charity of the donor’s
choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be
