Bouctouche, NB – Lydie Richard, of Bouctouche,
formerly of Cap-Lumiere, passed away peacefully at the Foyer Pauline
in Bouctouche on Friday, February 8, 2019. Born in St. Ignace, she was
a daughter of the late Alphonse Vautour and late Ruphine (Gallant)
Vautour. Lydie loved gardening, her beach, playing Bingo, knitting,
music, reading and travelling. She especially loved her family and
going out with her nieces and nephews. Her favorite thing to say was
“vous etes les bien venue.” She greatly appreciated everyone
attending her 100th birthday party as
well
Lydie is survived by her sisters, Elenore Vautour CND of Nova
Scotia, Gemma Comeau (late Gerard) of St. Louis and Marie Robichaud
(late Aurele) of St. Charles; her brothers, Eddie Vautour (late
Obeline) of Richibucto and Camille Vautour (Claira) of St. Louis, as
well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Andre
Richard; her sisters, Edna Daigle, Sister Zelia Vautour CND and
Laurianne Richard; her brothers, Arthur, Francois, Delphin and Ernest
Vautour.
Visitation will be held at the St. Antoine de Padoue Roman
Catholic Church Slumber Room in Richiboucto Village on Sunday, from
2-4 and 7-9 pm, Monday at noon until time of the funeral. A
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 2:00
pm, St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church, Richibouctou-Village.
Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home,
Richibucto (523-4252).
