Obituary of Lloyd Martin
MARTIN: Lloyd J. –
Passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with his wife by his side on the 30th of January, 2019.
Survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Dorothy. Lloyd will be sadly missed by his daughters Tammy Martin of Chatham and Michelle Michilak (husband Kevin) of Woodstock and son Mike Martin (wife Shellie) of Branchton. Predeceased by his daughter Cathy Martin.
Proud grandfather of Miranda, Logan, Oona, Xzavier and Kiera.
Survived by his two sisters Barb Debeck (Abe) and Joyce Rammeloo (Ludwig) and brother Leroy Martin. Predeceased by his brothers Fred Martin, Leroy Martin and Philip Martin.
Also survived by his extended family in Alberta. Step children of 24 years: Rick Gillingwater (Tracey), April Bennett (Corey) and Joann Gillingwater (Corey H). Papa Lloyd to Jaden and Kaleb.
Lloyd worked at Rockwell Canada for 30 years and enjoyed the company of many close friends. His passion was Antique Gas engines and was also the go to guy for fixing many things. You could always find him out cutting the grass. Lloyd will be sorrowfully missed and loved by all.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Cremation to follow with an interment to take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. Thank-you to Dr. Burgess and the nurses, staff and volunteers that took very, very good care of Lloyd.
