Kelly Anne was involved with many community projects and groups as a volunteer in her hometown. She was a paramedic for 10 years with Westfield Ambulance before having to retire because of medical problems. Being a paramedic and working through the medical field was one thing that she most treasured. She worked with her favorite pharmacist Bill Kelly at Guardian Drugs in Grand Bay doing both Blood Pressure and Sugar Clinics for a few years.
She taught CPR and First Aid Courses to people which she truly enjoyed and a lot of times for free just to make sure the public was aware and knew important steps to save lives.
Kelly Anne was a Girl Guide leader for 6 years, she was involved with the Browns Flat Home and School Association, the Browns Flat Block Parent, Westfield Victim Services, Greenwich Recreation Association, Browns Flat Tops Association, she sang at many benefits and functions throughout the community.
She won awards throughout her life and loved to sing. In her younger years she sang in band, Kelly Anne was on a few different shows on CHSJ. She played many musical instruments and music was very important to her throughout her life.
Kelly Anne loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter in her time. She loved to hunt with her husband, she fished, snowmobiled and went biking with her family. Kelly Anne loved the wildlife, everyone knew that if there was a baby animal in distress or orphaned, Kelly Anne would be involved somehow. Kelly Anne was a member of the St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Westfield but she attended and was involved as well in the past 10 years or more with St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Oak Point. She was a Sunday school teacher in both churches.
