Keith Kalbfleisch, age 81, a resident of Valleyview Home, St. Thomas and formerly of Ridgetown, passed away peacefully at his residence on February 1, 2019.
Born January 13, 1938 in Oshawa, Keith grew up in Stratford, the Festival City. He was the son of the late Kenneth (Ken) Kalbfleisch and the former Reta Scheifele.
A graduate of Stratford Collegiate and Stratford Teachers’ College, he taught in Hamilton, Dresden and Blenheim until his retirement.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 years Diane (Wasman) of London. Father of Mark (Sabina Peeters) of Waterloo and Nancy of London. Grandad of Robert of Waterloo and Richard (Liz Vanderburgh) and Great Grandad of new born Adelaide of San Francisco. Survived by his sister Jean Russell of Kitchener and her family.
A deep heartfelt thanks to the staff of Valleyview Home who provided exceptional care throughout his stay.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, St. Marys. Interment will be at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford, Ontario.
In keeping with the wishes of Keith, there will be no services. In lieu, to honour Keith’s love of the Arts and of Life, donations may be made as commemorative gifts to Stratford Festival or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
