Joyce Marie Lacey of Thedford passed away at the Country Manor in her 76th year on Wednesday, February 20th, 2019.
Wife of Mac (2009). Joyce was the loved mom of Joe & Charlotte Lacey, Kelly & Patty Lacey, Jamie & Darlene Lacey, Perry Lacey, Paula & Joe Bullock, 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Missed sister of Doris & Al Hawkins and Arlene Krehbiel. Joyce is predeceased by her parents Earl & Shirley Davidson and siblings, Eleanor, Bob and Jim.
Joyce worked for many years at Androck Industries in Watford while raising her family just outside of Thedford. Joyce spent most of her time working on the farm and looking after her family, accomplishing many of the skills long lost like canning, sewing and growing her vegetable garden for the family.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, February 24 from 12pm-2pm at Gilpin Funeral Home, 97 Victoria Street in Thedford with a service following at 2pm with Rev. Dr. Christine O’Reilly officiating. Donations are appreciated in Joyce’s name to Strathroy Middle General Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to Gilpin Funeral Chapel.
