Obituary of John Smith
Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, February 21, 2019, John Smith of Harbour Grace, age 61 years. Leaving to mourn, wife: Enda; two daughters: Kimberley Snow (Steven), Bay Roberts and Karen Smith (James Milley), St. John’s; two sons: Kevin (Robin), Edmonton, AB and Patrick, St. John’s; five grandchildren: Joanne, Jonathon, Victoria, John, and Liam; parents: Victor and Marina, Bishop’s Cove; brother: Derek, Tilton; sister: Joan (Isreal) Dove, St. John’s; two special aunts: Bertha Schofield and Margaret Coombs; sisters-in-law: Beverley (Dave) Delaney, Sandra Squibb (Gary Peckham), Marguerite (Gerald) Parsons, Cynthia Ethridge (Edward), and Frances Ethridge (Mark Smith); brothers-in-law: Mike (Joanne) Ethridge and John Ethridge; nephews: Jeremy (his Godchild), Jordan, Joshua (his Godchild), and Stephen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Monday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Wednesday, February 27 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Inurnment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the John Smith Memorial Fund, c/o Noel’s Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1001, Harbour Grace, NL, A0A 2M0.
