BARBER, James (Jim) Allan-Gone to be with our Lord, passed away peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Friday, February 8, 2019 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Lindsay) for 61 years. Loving father of David (Christina) of Lindsay and Julie (Peter) McIntyre of Bridgenorth. Survived by his sister Alma (Dale) Kingyens. Predeceased by his parents Ted and Mabel Barber. Dear poppa of Amanda (Dave Kelly), Melissa Barber, Rebecca (Dave White) and Sam. Step-poppa of Kelsey (Nick) and Sheldon. Great grampa of Makayla, Rylynn, Oakland, Myka, Owen and Kyliee. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A “Celebration of Life” will take place at the Salvation Army Community Church, 51 Eglington Street, Lindsay on Saturday, February 16 from 12:00 noon until 4:00 P.M. with a funeral service to be held at 2:00 P.M. If desired, memorial donations to the Salvation Army Community Church or the Ross Memorial Hospital-Dialysis Unit would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged through the STODDART FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay K9V 2L1 (705-324-3205).
