MR. HERBERT ROY DELLANDREA
of Sundridge
Peacefully and surrounded by his family, Herb went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Friday, February 1st, 2019 in his 94th year.
He will be dearly missed by his devoted and loving wife Lois of 63 years. His family, who loved him so much, include Wayne (Lana), Joy Ann (Don), Brian (Kristie), Leslie Dawn (Greg), Jay (Loni) and his grandchildren Jeff (Ashley), Jonathan, Brittany (James), Colt, Daniel (Annelies), Ryan (Ania), Tim (Sarah), Mitchell (Amanda), Tayler (Tori), Justin (Kayla), Blaine, Ty and Tristyn.
He also had 12 great-grandchildren who thought he was so very special and called him Great-grandpa or Big-Papa! He leaves behind his sister Dorothy and his brother Freddie (Dorothy) and his sisters-in-law Shirley (Geoffrey) and Jean (Frank).
Herb’s life was a testimony to his steadfast walk of faith in Jesus, his untiring commitment to his family, his passion for hard work and the outdoors. He was a ‘gentle giant’ who was great and precious to so many. ‘Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints’ Psalm 116:15
Heartfelt thanks to the Evergreen medical team at NBRHC who so wonderfully cared for Herb.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 8th, 2019 from 2pm-4:30pm at Opatovsky Funeral Home – Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge. On Saturday, February 9th, 2019 there will be a time of visitation from 11:30am-1pm at Bethel Gospel Chapel (781 Tackaberry Drive, North Bay ON). A ‘Celebration Of Life’ service, also at the Chapel, will be at 1:30pm on Saturday, Feb.9th.
In lieu of flowers, a donation made to Bethel Gospel Chapel, 781 Tackaberry Drive, North Bay ON P1B 4R7 will be applied to the BGC Building Fund.
