The passing of Harold Gerard Dibblee of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Mary “Norma” (Godin) Dibblee occurred on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 29, 1927 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Francis “Frank” and Margaret (Daley) Dibblee. Harold was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish; member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Following his military career, Harold worked as a Pharmacist.

Harold is survived by his son, Michael “Mike” Dibblee; daughters, Margaret “Maggie” Boutin (William “Bill”) and Terry Lynn “T.L.” Cormier (Jocelyn); grandchildren, Jonathan “J.J.” Dibblee, Rebecca “Beka” Boutin, Melissa, Danielle and Jenna Cormier. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brother and sisters.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 7-9 pm. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4, Fredericton are asked to assemble at 6:45 pm for a Legion Tribute Service. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Anthony’s Parish on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11 am with Father Martin Arputham as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
