After a lengthy battle, at Chapman House Hospice, Owen Sound, on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 of Eugenia in his 77th year. Beloved husband of 34 years to Penny(nee Wall). Loving father of Brett(Debbie), Brent Baker and step-father of Catherine Butson. Loved and remembered by his grandchildren Belinda Thomas, Brock Baker, Jessie Baker, RJ and Hunter Renaud and great grandchildren Tucker, Tegyn and Blake. Dear brother of Yvonne(Dennis) Brooke.
Garry was born on January 30, 1943 to Melville and Ivy Baker in Toronto, Ontario. He worked for 40 years as a maintenance mechanic for Loblaw Companies Ltd . He retired in 2005 & made his cottage at Lake Eugenia his permanent home. He was so proud of his garage where he continued his craft of repairing & fixing things for his neighbours & friends. Garry’s beloved dog Maggie will miss him so much.
At Garry’s request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place in the spring at their home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Chapman House Hospice, Owen Sound, would be gratefully appreciated. Online condolences and donations at www.fawcettfuneralhome.ca
