Obituary of Frank Chapman
Peter Franklin “Frank” Chapman, retired Principal of Quinte Secondary School, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, February 12th, 2019 in his 83rd year. Son of the late Albert and Florence Chapman of Milford. Beloved husband of Catherine (nee McColl) Chapman of Corbyville for 55 years. Loving father of Mary Anne (Terry Whalen) of Frankford, Laura of Stirling and Jim (Miho) of Belleville. Devoted Poppa of Sam, Catherine, Mia and Noah. Frank is survived by his sister, Karen (Harley) Guernsey of Milford. He is also fondly remembered by Catherine’s family and by many nieces and nephews. Frank enjoyed the camaraderie of his many friends and neighbours. He will be missed. The family will receive friends at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (613-968-2273) on Sunday, February 17th from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of St. Michael the Archangel on Monday, February 18th, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment at St. James the Minor Cemetery, Stirling in the spring. If desired, Memorial Donations to Gleaners Food Bank or to St. Michael’s Capital Fund would be appreciated by the family.
