Russell Fair – of Listowel, formerly of Atwood, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday February 13, 2019 at the age of 87. Russell was a member of Atwood United Church and the Bernard Masonic Lodge #225 A.F. & A.M. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, gardening and tinkering in his wood shop.
Beloved husband of Pearl (George) Fair whom he married in 1960. Loving father of Joyce Fair (Mel Fischer). Dear brother of Lorne (Alberta), Murray, Bruce (Alva), Irene Smith, Lloyd (Dorothy), Neil (Eleanor), Helen Lee, and Elva (Malcolm) Hicks. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Hazel (Van Sickle) Fair, his brother Elwood, and brothers-in-law Elmer Smith and Jim Lee.
Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Friday February 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a Masonic service under the auspices of Bernard Masonic Lodge #225 A.F. & A.M. at 8:30 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday February 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brian Hymers officiating. Spring interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
