The family announces the peaceful passing of Evelyn Burtt December 18, 1931~ February 22, 2019. Beloved wife of Irvine Burtt (deceased). Daughter of Edna and Oliver Badgerow (both deceased). Loving mother of Brian (Peggy), Garry (deceased) Leslie (Denyse), Keith, Ken (Mavis), Liz (Dan Rouleau) and Dean.
Grandmother to Kevin, David, Matthew, Steven, Eric, Justin, Carrie, Lori, Christopher, Kimberly, Nathan and Marissa. She will be deeply missed by several great grandchildren.
Brothers Gerald and Bobby (both deceased), Sisters Allice (deceased), Gladys (deceased) and leaves behind sisters, Marion, Agnes, Shirley and Marjorie.
Evelyn worked hard for all of her life and was a well-known face at Tim Horton’s, where she was more commonly known as Evie, where she retired at the age of 75.
Evelyn enjoyed blueberry picking every summer, walking and just being outdoors. Evelyn grew up poor as she often said, but was always helping family, friends, neighbours and even strangers.

A memorial service will be held in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Friday, March 1st, 2019 at 11:30am. Friends may gather in the chapel after 11:15am Friday. Cremation with burial of ashes in the family plot at Waters Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Children’s Aide Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
