Elaine Spenst passed away at the Estevan Regional Nursing Home, Estevan, Sask. on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the age of 97 years.
Elaine is survived by her husband James Clifford Spenst of Estevan; daughters, Marilyn (Dave) Wock of Estevan, Debbie Mainprize of Calgary and Shelley Gray of Estevan; sons, Doug (Jean) Spenst of Calgary and Daryl (Gail) Spenst of Edmonton. Also left to cherish Elaine’s memory are her grandchildren, Bradley, Timmy, Krista (Darrel), Cameron (Amanda), Tyler, Amanda (Jesse) and Brandon (Danielle) and great grandchildren, Allysa (Tyler), Bailey, Trey, Tristen, Taylor, Kolton, Avery, Aiden, Ethan and Sage as well as her great great grandchildren, Kaisey and Carter. She is also survived by her sisters, Eleanor and Betty Ann, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Gilbert and Katherine Peterson; brothers, Glen, Dale, James and Roy Peterson; uncle John Schmidt and aunt Elizabeth Schmidt; nephews, Raymond and Ken Peterson and granddaughter Christa Wock.
An informal time of sharing, remembrance and visiting with the family will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with Pastor Geoff Thiessen officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
