Edna
Cormier, 87, of Golden Years Estates and formerly of Church St.,
passed away peacefully at The Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University
Hospital Centre on Monday, February 25,
2019.
Born in
Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Alvina (Arsenault)
Allain. Edna was retired from UAP Napa with 23
years’ service (clerical) and attended Faith Christian
Fellowship Church. She enjoyed walking, sewing, socializing with
friends, watching TV – especially Christian shows and old
movies (The Waltons) and time spent with her
family.
Edna will be
sadly missed by her children, Pauline Levasseur of Riverview, Patrick
Cormier (Linda) of Moncton, Della LeBlanc (Claude) of Moncton and
Marcia King (Dave) of Riverview; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great
grandchildren and special nephew, Eric
Cormier.
In addition
to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph T. Cormier
(2005) and sister, Eveline
(2003).
Visitation
at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on
Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour
Edna’s life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel
on Friday, March 1, 2019, at 11:00 am, with Pastor Bill Annis leading
the service. Reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, in the
spring.

Edna, donations to the Alzheimer Society of South East NB or a
memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Online
