1925-2019
E. Margaret “Marg” Kilpatrick of Greenfield passed
peacefully on February 15, 2019 at the Carleton Manor, Woodstock, N.B.
She was born in the county of Aberdeen, Scotland on July 12, 1925, and
immigrated to Canada with her father, David Murray; mother, Mary Ann
(Duffus) Murray; sister, Mary and brother, Jim. They settled in
Connell, N.B.
On April 16, 1947, Marg married Douglas Kilpatrick of Greenfield,
N.B., where they lived and farmed together for 50 years. She continued
to live in her farmhouse after Doug’s death on December 25, 1997 until
her move to the Carleton Manor in September, 2014.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased
by an infant brother, David, in Scotland; her brother, James; her
brothers-in-law, Gordon Briggs and Jack Dickinson.
She is survived by her children, Sheila Knox (Jim) and Brian
Kilpatrick (Linda); grandchildren, Jared Kilpatrick (Darcy) and Megan
Munro (Jonathan); great-granddaughters, Adley and Eva Kilpatrick, Ruby
and Anna Munro; her sister, Mary Briggs and sister-in-law, Margaret
Dickinson.
Margaret had a remarkable zest for life, an infinite love for her
family and friends and she will be ever remembered by those who knew
and loved her.
A funeral service will be held at the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel on
Monday, February 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Rev Cora Krommenhoek will
officiate. The Interment will be held at a later date in St. Barnabas
Cemetery, Greenfield. Donation made to Carleton Manor, Woodstock, St.
Barnabas Cemetery or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be
