Langille, Dorothy Esther “Doris” – Age, 94 of Willow Lodge Home for Special Care, Tatamagouche and formerly of River John, passed away February 26, 2019 in the Lodge. Born in Plasitow, England, she was a daughter of the late William and Esther (Flagg) Green. Doris came to Canada in 1946 as a war bride arriving at Pier 21 in Halifax. She settled in River John with her husband and raised her children there. She was a stay at home mother and home maker, was an avid reader, flower gardener and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 108 Auxiliary and served for many years as Treasurer. Doris is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline McKay, River John; Linda Perrin (Jim Scriver), St. Catherine’s, Ont.; son, James (Esther), Salmon River; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; several great great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Audrey) and Stanley, both of England; sister, Ann, also of England. Several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Joseph “Joe” Langille; sister-in-law, Joyce; brother-in-law, Brian. At Doris’ request, there will be no visitation time and a private family service will be held. Burial will be at a later date in Mountain Road Cemetery, River John. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. Memorial donations to Willow Lodge Home for Special Care or Mountain Road Cemetery would be appreciated.
