Obituary of Doris Thain
Thain, Doris Fay – Peacefully at Hastings Manor, with family at her side, on Tuesday, February 12th, 2019, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of Garnet Thain of Belleville and the late Harry “Stub” Nickle. Loving mother of the late Harry Nickle (Irene Nickle surviving), Linda (Abdul) Majid of Brampton, Brenda (Richard) Dumais of Belleville, Richard (Lori) Nickle of Havelock and Dawn Brett of Trenton. Cherished grandmother of Jon, Shawn, Shane, Tara, Andre, Shannen, David and Sarah and of step grandchildren, Lisa, Kim and Scott. Doris is also remembered by her great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents Frederick and Marguerite Rodgers, by her sister, Gail Crawford and by her brother, Glen Rodgers. Doris was a long-time member of College Hill United Church. Cremation entrusted to the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel (613-968-2273). Private Family Service at Belleville Cemetery. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Arthritis Society or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
