1938-2019
Dora O’Brian of Riverview, passed away peacefully
on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at The Moncton Hospital, following a
lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Sackville, NB, she was the
daughter of the late George and Margaret (Cook) Wry.
She was educated in Moncton Schools and graduated from NB
Community College with a degree in Beauty Culture. Dora enjoyed many
years travelling and working in her flower gardens, she also enjoyed
Standard Bred Racing with her family, yet the greatest joy in her life
was time spent with her children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by her sons: Danny (Alison) and
Michael (Chris), sister, Linda Wry (Danny) and brothers: Bob Wry
(Betty) and Fred Wry, grandchildren; Matthew, William, Jonathan,
Scott, Tyler, Sadie, Lauren, Alex, Rachel and Jessica, great
grandchildren: Mason and Rogan and her cherished nieces: Heather,
Cherie, Holly, Susan, Nancy and Rhonda.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Bob
in 2002 and her daughter Peggy in 2004.
Dora’s family would like to express there sincere
appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of the palliative care
unit at The Moncton Hospital for the care and love shown to her and
her family.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 2-4 PM.
The interment will take place at Fair Haven Cemetery. Donations to the
SPCA, ALS Society or the memorial of the donor’s choice
