Obituary of Donna Orthner
Donna, late of Regina, SK, passed away in the Regina General Hospital on Friday, February 8, 2019 with her son by her side, at the age of 79 years. She was born on February 26, 1939 in Pangman, SK. Donna grew up on the family farm near Pangman, and after finishing high school she attended teachers college in Moose Jaw. After teaching for a few years, she decided that was not what she wanted for a career so went into banking where she remained for several years. Donna met and married the love of her life Arthur Orthner and their only son Todd was born on April 11, 1974. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and was always willing to help when someone was in need and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Donna was predeceased by her husband Art in 1980; and her parents Sophie (1999) and Joseph Fellner (1966). She leaves to mourn her son Todd (Michelle); three granddaughters, Autumn, Myranda, and Isabella; sister Joan (Elwood) Leach; brother Gerald (Vera) Fellner; as well numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be lovingly remembered by the Orthner Family. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Regina General Hospital Unit 6A for the care and compassion provided to Donna. A private service will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. Those so wishing may make memorial donations in Donna’s name to a charity of your choice.
