MacKENZIE, Donald Randolph
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Hamilton General Hospital, Donald went to be with His Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Helen (nee Twaddle). Devoted father of Lise (Rob) Young, Beth, Donald Jr. (Donna) and Vicki Holowchak. Cherished grandfather of Erin, Amy, Becky, Krissy, Phil, Colin, Jeremy and 5 great-grandchildren. Donald will be greatly missed by his long-time friend Pauline Rodrigue, her son Cory (Amanda) Clark and daughter Chantal (Ben) Newport and her children. Dear brother of Robert (Myrtle), Russell (the late Florence), Vernon (Ida), Joyce, Audrey (Jim), Lorne (Barb). He will be missed by the Skyway Bluegrass Club and by his many friends. Donald retired from Stelco with 38 years of service and worked for many years as the owner of Stoney Creek TV and Radio as a repairman. He was a very talented musician who brought enjoyment to many people through his fiddle playing. Special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Hamilton General Hospital, VON and Bayshore staff. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hamilton General Hospital would be appreciated. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left atwww.donaldvbrown.ca
