Donald Grant 19282019

Donald Wilson Grant, age 90,
passed away peacefully Friday, February 1, 2019, in Berwick
NS.
Donnie was born July 29, 1928, in Glace Bay, NS, to Wilson
and Elizabeth (Allnutt) Grant.
He enjoyed a 30 year career as a medic in the Armed Forces,
serving across Canada and abroad. After his retirement, he enjoyed
many happy hours tending his beautiful garden, traveling around the
world and taking long walks with his dog. Donnie was a lifelong, avid
participant in round and square dancing, both of which he taught for
over 40 years.
He is survived by his partner, Lorrie Bawn, Kentville NS;
sister, Betty Philips; step-grandchildren, Kelly and Robert Bowes, as
well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Donnie was predeceased by his wife, Sarah Bowes Grant;
step-son, Donald Bowes; brothers, Allister and Ernest; foster brother,
Philip Westbury; sisters, Annie Green and Christina
Fitt.
In accordance with Donnie’s wishes, cremation has taken place
and there will be no service.
Memorial donations in Donnie’s name may be sent to the
Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your
choice.
