The death of Donald “Donnie” Joseph Savoy husband of Peggy (Young) Savoy occurred at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the age of 56.
Born in Saint John, NB, Donnie is the son of Genevieve (Howe) Savoy and the late Edward Savoy.
Donnie was owner/operator of the TLC Family Care Home, Miramichi Inc. and a painter by trade.
Besides his wife Peggy and mother Genevieve, Donnie is survived by two daughters: Meaghan Hartley of Ottawa, ON, Breann Willis (Andrew) of Toronto, ON; one sister: Rose Furlong (Joseph) of Miramichi, NB; three brothers: Blaine (Diane) Edmonton, AB, Eddie (Dorothy) Saint John, NB, Jason (Connie) of Guelph, ON; four grandchildren: Nahdyah, Alexander, Madelyn and Victoria; son-in-law: Abdoul Guindo; special nieces and nephews: John, Luke, Vanessa, Matthew, Steven, Stephanie, Crystal, Mandy, Jacob, Ben and Jesse.
Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB, on Friday, February 22, 2019, from 2-6 PM.
A celebration of life will be held from The Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB, on Friday, February 22, 2019, at 7 PM with Pastor Gary Bigger officiating.
In Donnie’s memory a donation may be to the donor’s choice.
