It is with sadness the family of Derrick Norman Simpson announce his passing on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Royal University Hospital at the age of 38 years.
Derrick was born on April 6, 1980 in Milden, SK, the third son of Raymond and Gloria Simpson.
Derrick is survived by his parents Raymond and Gloria (née Stanley) Simpson; brother Jeff (Michele) Simpson and children Austin and Avery; brother Greg Simpson; sister Courtney Simpson (Jon Kilgore); grandmother Doris Simpson; aunt Carol Simpson and son Jory; aunt Janice Simpson (Aaron Rouse) and children Erin (Jayson), Jessie, Rebecca, Matt (Megan) and Cole; uncle Tom (Linda) Simpson and children Josh, Norman, Kendal, Amie and Sadie; cousins Jamie Brown, Ashley McArthy and Ally McArthy; aunt Marie Willis and children Melanie Inveraity and Kenny Willis; uncle Bill Willis and Uncle Bill Stanley.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Lawrence and Mildred Stanley, grandfather Tom Simpson, uncle Norman Simpson and aunt Donna McArthy.
Derrick is also survived by his two chihuahuas Shawn and Bella; they didn’t eat dog food, he cooked chicken for them.
Derrick’s greatest love was his family, he loved both his immediate and extended family so much and will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Derrick’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Milden Community Hall with Mrs. Diane Schmidt officiating. Donations in memory of Derrick may be made to Chron’s & Colitis Canada, P.O. Box 28074 RPO Westgate, Saskatoon, SK, S7N 5V8.
