1948-2019
It is with sadness that we the family,
announce the death of David Cormier, 70, of College St. Bathurst,
which occurred Sunday February 10, 2019, at the Chaleur Regional
Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief battle with
cancer.
Born in Bathurst,
he was the son of the late Donald and Catherine (Peters)
Cormier.
Besides his wife,
Évangéline (Devreaux) Cormier, he is survived by
two children: Nathalie Cormier (Tim)
and David Jr. (Elizabeth) both of
Bathurst.
His beloved
grandchildren: Vanessa, Sebastien, Rebecca and three
great-grandchildren: Grace, Lukas and
Noah.
Two brothers:
Réginald Cormier
(Lévis) of Bathurst and Ronald Cormier (Kelly) of Hamilton,
ON.
Three sisters:
Marguerite Couture (Léonard)
and Annette Cormier both of Bathurst and
Diane
Cormier of Montreal,
QC.
Several nieces,
nephews and two lifetime friends: Byron McLean and Archie
Fowlie.
He was
pre-deceased by two brothers: Alcide, Robert and a sister,
Marie-Rose.
The family will
receive relatives and friends at Elhatton’s Funeral Home
(www.elhatton.com), Bathurst on Friday, February 22nd from 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on
Saturday morning February 23, 2019 at 10 a.m. from the Sacred Heart
Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Donations in memory of
David to the family would be
appreciated.
