Obituary of Daniel Patterson
PATTERSON, Daniel John – age 29, of Wyse’s Corner.
Words fail to convey how broken – hearted we are to announce Daniel’s passing on February 18, 2019. Born in Orillia, Ontario, on June 1, 1989, his family moved and settled in Wyse’s Corner, where Daniel grew into a strong, gentle man. His faith and family enriched his life most of all.
He fostered an exceptional work ethic in his carpentry, which could be defined by a perfection found within his finished projects, both professionally and personally. The compositions he created and completed for his family, he valued above all others.
Daniel found great solace in being close to nature and the ocean. He had a special love for animals, both wildlife and domestic, but he cherished his devoted dog, Storm most of all.
Daniel is survived by his parents, John and Evelyn Patterson, of Wyse’s Corner; brothers, Nathan and David (partners, Juliet and Erin); aunts, Ada, Linda R., Roberta, Linda P., and Ruth; uncles, Guy, Bernard, Ron, Allan and Charles; and grandmother, Ruby Rideout.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday February 23, 2019 at Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie beginning with Remembrances of Daniel at 2pm followed by a time of visitation until 4pm. He will be laid in his final resting place in Newfoundland during a private family ceremony, at a later date.
Memorial donations in Daniel’s name, can be made to the Gideons International in Canada.
