Cyril Stubbs
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cyril Stubbs, age 94 on February 19, 2019. Cyril was a World War II veteran who served with distinction in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Cyril was a soccer player, an avid golfer, coach and lifelong supporter of the Tranmere Rovers Football Club. He also loved the Toronto Maple Leafs. Throughout his life, Cyril, or Syd to his friends and family was known as a guy that could build or fix just about anything. Syd is lovingly remembered by his son David, daughter-in-law Katherine and niece Anita Boyd. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years Irene and sister Emily.
