Chad Christopher Landry
1979-2019
Landry, Chad Christopher – Age
39 years of River Bourgeois, Richmond Co. It is with deep sadness that
we the family announce the passing of Chad Landry on Sunday, February
24, 2019 in the Palliative Care Unit, Cape Breton Regional Hospital,
Sydney. His family is Grateful for their hard work in keeping him
comfortable in his last days. Chad was born in Antigonish; on April
23, 1979 he was a son of Vera Landry-Bourque and the late Charles
George Landry.
Chad was raised in River Bourgeois and attended school at St.
Peter’s District High School. He worked at Minacs
Worldwide Call Centre in Halifax before falling ill. He
lived in Halifax for 6 years before returning to River Bourgeois with
his daughter Charlie. His passion was for his daughter and invested
all his efforts in Loving and raising her. Chad was involved
in the Medical Community in gaining information for science on his
disorder to benefit others that survived him.
Life wasn’t fair to Chad but he didn’t
care, or let that take away from his love of life and family. He
demonstrated grace, grit and a grounded spirit and love for his fellow
man. He made peace with his condition and showed True Grit in
squeezing Joy from every moment that he gleaned for life. He showed
love and forgiveness to the last moments on this earth, thinking of
others to ensure that they were in a position to be in a better place
in this world after his passing. He will be missed.
Besides his mother and step-dad, Vera (Basil Bourque)
Landry-Bourque; Chad is survived by his daughter, Charlie Landry;
brothers, Ronald (Erin) Landry, Wianwright, AB; Craig (Daisy) Landry,
Port Hawkesbury; nieces and nephews, Jacob Landry, Behn Landry, Asher
Landry, Sihdney Landry and Tristin Landry. Chad was predeceased by his
grandparents, John and Rita Landry and Gus and Annie
McNamara.
It’s said “Live a good life and the gods will welcome
you for your virtues you have lived by. But that being said, your
noble life will live on in the memories of your loved ones.”
Charlie was his precious “Lady Bug” and he will always be
with us through her.
