With sadness the family of Kay Campbell announces her passing on February 5, 2019 at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 88 years. Kay was born in Penzance, Saskatchewan on July 8, 1930 to William and Martha Donaldson.
Kay was predeceased by her parents William and Martha; sisters-in-law Gwen (Lionel) Brierly and Betty Olynik; brothers-in-law John (Pearl) Campbell and Ken Campbell. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Donald of 64 years; daughter Sandy (Mike) Roberts; sons Don (Lorraine), Bruce and Alan Campbell; grandchildren Crystal (Drew), Traci (Brent), Trevor (Stacey), Kyle, Christopher and Alannah (Roland); great-grandchildren Marcus, Isla and Jorja; brother David (Jill) Donaldson; sister-in-law Grace Campbell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kay was a busy wife and mother who enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and canning; always making things special for her family and others. She supported the church and community in many ways, in all the towns they resided in over the years. Kay dedicated seventeen years to the United Church Chaplaincy through the hospitals in Regina. She was also a sports fan: football, hockey, curling, etc.!
Kay’s kindness and caring created many lasting friendships. Touching numerous lives and hearts she leaves behind beautiful memories.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Wascana Rehabilitation Centre Chapel, (second floor) 2180 – 23rd Ave., Regina, SK. The chapel can be accessed from the west door off the west side parking lot.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kay’s name to a charity of your choice.
The family wishes to thank cousins Charlie, Doug, Hugh, Sheryl and Glen for their visits and kindnesses to Mom over the years. Also thanks to Dr. McMillan, Dr. Bester, Dr. Richardson, the dialysis staff, therapies staff, and All staff on unit 2-5 for the care given to Mom.
