Carol Anne Jane Francis
Francis, Carol Anne Jane – 67, Millbrook First Nation, passed away peacefully February 25, 2019 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Agatha (Beadle) Francis. Carol Anne, in her earlier years, worked at a variety of jobs including at the former Abenaki Motel as well as with the local daycare. She enjoyed learning traditional Mi’kmaq crafts such as quill work and basket making. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed her pilgrimages to Saint Anne’s in Quebec. She was a member of Sacred Heart Mission Church, Millbrook. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with all of them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Douglas), Millbrook; grandchildren, Aaron, Kayln, Terry, Trent, James, Will, Sage and Brent; great grandchildren, Jalen, Tiara, Ian, Ariabella, Lincoln, Gabriella, Grayson, Ethan; eight Godchildren; sisters, Gloria Googoo, Shirley Francis, Blanche Francis; brothers, Brian J. Francis, Duma Francis, Simon Francis as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her son, William Jr.; daughter, Edie Anne Francis; granddaughter, Erica Lynn; brothers, Steve Francis and Charles “Charlie Boy” Francis. Carol Anne will be resting in Millbrook Senior’s Centre, 841 Willow St., Millbrook after 2pm, Thursday, February 28th. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 2nd at 10am in Sacred Heart Church, Millbrook with Father Dariusz Miskowicz officiating. Salité and Meal to follow in Millbrook Community Hall. Burial at a later date in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Millbrook. If so desired, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
