On February 20, 2019 Mr. Gabriel Cardinal of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 58 years. He is survived by his siblings, Betty (Jackie) Moosewah of Edmonton, Ed (Janet) of Goodfish Lake, Carl H. of Saddle Lake, Donna of Saddle Lake, Mavis (Harley Whitstone) of Edmonton, Edward of Saddle Lake, Alvin (Doreen) Makokis of Saddle Lake; 2 godsons, Haydon Cardinal & Mason Whiskeyjack; his beloved dog, Chester; numerous nieces & nephews. Gabriel was predeceased by his parents, Harry L. & Eva M. Cardinal. A Wake was held on Sunday (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.) & Monday, February 24 & 25 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Last respects Tuesday, February 26 starting at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Saddle Lake. Reverend Father Philip Mathew will be the celebrant with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake. *Due to severe allergies, please do not bring fish to the hall*.
