Obituary for
Bill Mitchell
Mitchell, William George “Bill”
Passed away peacefully with family by his side at University Hospital in London on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of the late Bonnie Mitchell (2013). Loving father of William Brent (Nicole and her son Jared) and Tyler (Amanda). Loving partner of Barb Kittmer, sons Andrew, Jordan, Jeff and Nathan, and furry friend Kramer. Dear brother of the late Lynne Spence (George), nieces Susan (Steve) and sons Zack and Kyle, Kelly (Shelley), and nephew Scott (Nicholl) and sons Kyle and Ben. Dear brother-in-law of Brenda (Ray) and children Jennifer, Jeff and David. Bill enjoyed sunsets…whether in Collingwood or over the sunny white sands of Aruba. He was a longtime serving member of the Puslinch Lake Golf Course, a Cambridge Rotarian, and a valued retired member of MMP. After working for 45 years as an accountant, Bill retired 4 years ago, but always remained a “tax man”.
A Gathering to Celebrate Bill’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 6 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or London Health Sciences Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
