Passed away peacefully at the Health Science Centre, February
17, 2019, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Patrick, grandparents Annie and
James King, mother and father-in-law Mike and Mary Cooney, and her
good friend Marilyn Pitcher. Also other members of the
Cooney, King and Hefferan families.
Leaving to mourn her children Sandra (Carl), and Rodney
(Karen); her pride and joy her four grandsons Zack, Josh, Nathan and
Daniel; her family Sheila Lannon (Jim), Dave King (Agnes), Frank King
(Tammy), Eddy King (Margie), Gordie King (Roxanne), Wayne King
(Jermaine), Dominic King (Janelle), Madonna Foley (Danny), Leone
Sweeney (Kenny), Sally King (Katherine), Mary Anne Sands (John), Mike
Cooney (Diane), John Cooney, Ellen Jordan (Frank), Lorraine Bruce
(Dennis), Donna McGrath (Richard), and Mary Schaeffer; her bingo and
tea buddies, Rhonda O’Keefe, Renee Cooney and Brenda Ewida; also her
extended family Brendan and Mary Collins, and Cindy Au; and a large
circle of friends and family.
Mom was a woman who took pride in her family and was very
young at heart. She enjoyed travelling and was always ready
for the next adventure.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher’s Funeral Home,
Placentia. Visitation to take place on Monday from 7pm to
9pm, and Tuesday from 1pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm. Mass of
Christian Burial to take place 10:30am on Wednesday, February 20th at
Sacred Heart Church, Placentia. Interment to follow at
Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast
Placentia.
