1939-2019
With celebration of a life well lived, the family
of Bernice Helena Chase announces her passing which occurred
on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Saint John, NB. Born in Queens County, NB, on January 26, 1939, she
was the daughter of the late Gordon and Jessie (Lyon)
McConchie.
Bernice is survived by her children: Brian Chase and his wife
Angela of Hatfield Point, NB, and Mona Hachey and her husband Randy of
Hampton, NB; grandchildren: Daniel and Vanessa Hachey; sister June
McKay and her husband Melbourne of Hampton, NB; niece Melody McKay
(Garth Trainor); and nephew Malcolm (Courtney) McKay . Besides her
parents, Bernice was predeceased by her loving husband Osborne
Chase.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral
Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation
will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm.
The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at
2:00pm from Reid’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take
place in the spring at Riverbank Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Bernice may be made to the Heart
& Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation, Riverbank Cemetery or
to the memorial of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences
to the family and memorial donations may be made through
