Obituary of Barry Dunsworth
DUNSWORTH , Barry Edward– age 53 of Indian Brook. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Barry on February 19, 2019 at home.
Barry was born in Halifax to Diane Dunsworth (Iceton) and the late Kenneth Dunsworth.
Barry was an active and very welcomed member of the Indian Brook community, where he worked from home as a computer technician. Everyone enjoyed his sense of humour almost as much as his delicious pizza and chili. Barry grew up in Purcell’s Cove where he made many lifelong friends who will forever miss his good humoured antics.
Barry is survived by his wife, Leeanne and daughter Chloe; mother, Diane; brother, Jim (Shawna); nephews, Jordan and Adam; nieces, Alix and Jennifer, all of Timberlea; uncles, Barry and Terry Iceton and aunt, Helen Taylor; godchildren, Cole Michael, Merina Michael and Shannon Sack; and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Dunsworth.
Besides being missed by his family and friends, he will be dearly missed by his dog and best friend, Major Jones.
Visitation will begin at 5pm Friday, February 22nd at 563 Church Street, Indian Brook until time of service, 2pm Monday, February 25th in St. Kateri Catholic Church, Indian Brook, celebrant Father Ron Cairns. Cremation will take place after the service. A salite will follow the funeral and feast in the Indian Brook Community Centre.
