Barry Michael Laver February 17 2019

LAVER, Barry Michael
After a lengthy illness, Barry Laver died peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, February 17, 2019. His death occurred one day before his 77th birthday. Barry was predeceased by his parents Doris (Watt) and Frederick Laver. Barry was the dear baby brother of Charles Laver of Toronto and Paul Laver (Frances) of Seabright. He was the much-loved uncle of Scott Laver (Tawnya) of Toronto and Cathy Laver-Wright (Christopher) of Winnipeg; and great-uncle of James and Adam Laver of Toronto and Kieran and Tessa Laver-Wright of Winnipeg. Barry grew up and went to school in Powassan. He worked at several jobs over the years including at Restoule Provincial Park, Riverdale Dairy, Wizard of Odds, and as custodian for St. Mary’s Anglican Church, along with caring for his mother. Barry always had an interest in local history. He loved trains and anything related to the railway. Barry experienced daily life challenges but overcame them the best he could and all who knew him would agree he had a big heart. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service and interment of ashes at Powassan Union Cemetery will be announced in spring. A big thank you to all who gave Barry a chance to be their friend. Should you wish, memorial donations to St. Mary’s Anglican Church are suggested.
