1939-2019
MacLellan, Barbara Carol, 79, Great Village, passed away
Thursday, February 21, 2019 in the Colchester East Hants Health
Centre, Truro. Born in Montrose, NS, she was a daughter of the late
Neil and Mary (Richards) McKinnon. Barbara enjoyed a bottle of
Labatt’s Blue. She enjoyed spending her summer at the
campground and also enjoyed country music.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles Arthur
MacLellan; daughters, Carol Anonichuk (Wayne) of Cologne, ON, Darlene
MacLellan (Brad) of Boyle, AB, Tanya MacLellan (Glen) of Truro; sons,
James (Cheryl) of East Mountain, Robert (Cheryl) of Edmonton, AB, Wade
(Carolyn) of Truro; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother,
Neil “Bud” McKinnon (Jeanette) of Hilden; sisters, Phyllis
Stuart (Lee) of Oxford, NS, Agnes McKinnon of Portapique, Carolyn
Mattix of Londonderry; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a grandson Gage Lewis; brother, Lloyd
in infancy; brothers-in-law Arden Mattix, Danny Mattix, Art
Cooke.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall~Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, from where visitation will take
place Tuesday, Feb. 26th from 12-12:45 followed by funeral service at
1:00 pm. with webcasting beginning at 12:55 pm. Reverend Dan Gunn will
officiate with a reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion,
Branch 72, 9 Great Village Lornville Road, Great Village. Burial will
take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the
Portapique Cemetery or to a charity of choice. Private
