Bagrin Nina February 17th 2019

Bagrin, Nina
February 17th, 2019
Nina Bagrin was born in Rudnik Dzholambet in the Republic of Kazakstan on April 16, 1950. She entered Heaven’s gates on February 17, 2019 at age 68.
A loving mother and wife, Nina was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She enjoyed planting flowers and was an exceptional seamstress in her early years. Most of all, Nina loved her family, her mother, husband, four children and six grandchildren.
Nina and her husband dedicated years of their lives in aiding families in the former Soviet Union and spent hours collecting toys and clothes to send to refugee children.
It was her passion to bring her parents, brother and his family from the former U.S.S.R. into Canada. She also aided in the immigration process of thousands of Russian refugees into Canada during the time of the Cold War. Nina’s life was remarkable: she was a selfless soul who radiated love.
Nina was predeceased by her father of 84 years, Vasily Istomin. Nina is survived by her mother Antonina Istomin; husband Vladimir Bagrin; brother Vitaly Istomin and his wife Galya; her daughters: Alla Vallejo, Zhanna Brown and her husband Craig, and Lily Bagrin; and by her son Andrew and his wife Olga. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Christian Vallejo, Amelia Bagrin, Liam Bagrin-Wilson, Sienna Bagrin, Theodore J. Brown and Roman M. Brown.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where a funeral service celebrating Nina’s life will be conducted on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 9:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior.

Andrea Cummins-Disbro I have so many great memories of Nina because of my friendship with Z. She always opened her home to me- many, many times. I love my fun memories of her in “ear muffs” at 2 am cleaning dishes while Zs dad played the accordion. Or when she hid the Tupperware and What came next. Or at Zhanna’s wedding shower when she totally played along and wore the wigs. I love that every time I saw her she reminded me she was praying for me and God would bring good men into our lives (the white doves) which he faithfully did and I’m sure in part to Nina’s prayers. I love that at Zs wedding she was beaming with pride. I am grateful for my sweet memories of Nina and the legacy she leaves behind.

Larissa Radchenko-Mortensen I’m so saddened to hear of тётя Нина passing. She’s in Gods embrace and one day you will see her again.
I remember her so vividly, and I have such warm thoughts of when we used to come over to your “farm”, hung out, while she provided yummy snacks! I never wanted to leave. She was an amazing woman ( one of the few adults I wasn’t terrified of at the time) who is missed by many. I pray that God gives your family peace and closeness in this sad time!! ❤️
Alex & Valerie VallejoOur deepest condolences to all of those who were privileged to know Nina
Nina was the most genuine and kind person who always had a smile on her face. She was always willing to welcome you into her home to share a taste of her wonderful cooking or to sit and have a laugh over a cup of tea. She will be truly missed.
In our inadequate attempt to try to understand how one feels when losing someone you deeply love, we pray that you find comfort in the promise made by our Creator that one day He will reunite us with our loved ones.
You are in our Prayers !
