Archie Joseph Hackl October 26 1931 February 4 2019 (age 87)

With heavy hearts we said good-bye our loving father, grandfather and great grandfather on February 4, 2019 in Smithers, BC. Archie Hackl was born in St. Benedict, Sask. on October 26, 1931. He was the 7th of 11 children born and raised on the family farm near Humboldt, Sask.
Archie was married to Jeanne (predeceased 2002) in 1953 and had their first daughter Sharon (Lloyd) (predeceased 1992) before heading out to BC in 1954. North Vancouver would be their first home where they welcomed 4 more children; Janine Bland, Chrystal Lewis, Richard Hackle and Tina Hackle. In 1966 they moved the family north, stopping briefly in Terrace before calling Smithers home in 1967.
Archie was always a very hard-working man who had a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Along with his younger brother Garry (predeceased 2019), they started several successful businesses in the Valley, some of which included H&H Drywall, Mizar Enterprises and Windsor Plywood.
Archie’s biggest joy was spending time with his family and cooking family feasts for all to enjoy! He was “papa” to 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren with a 10th on the way. With a smile that felt more like a hug, he has left us all with a treasure chest of memories to cherish like gold.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Archie Joseph Hackl October 26 1931 February 4 2019 (age 87)..
