1932-2019
Alpheus “Al” Urquhart of
Riverview, NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on
Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the age of 87. Born in
Keirsteadville, NB he was a son of the late Fred and Edna (Crawford)
Urquhart.
Al worked for 40 years with Nabisco Brand until his
retirement. A past president with the Kinsmen Club in New
Glasgow, NS; a member of Riverview Baptist Church and past member of
the Deacon’s Board, a volunteer with the Albert County Food Bank and a
member of the Senior Round Table.
Survived by his six children: Raymond (Lori) of
Mahone Bay, NS, Patricia Downe ( Rick) of Victoria, BC, Stephen
(Christina) of Atlanta, Georgia, Vincent (Tracey) of
Calgary, AB, Brent (Wendy) of Moncton, NB and Leanne (Randy) of
Riverview, NB. Al took great pride in his 10 grandchildren and 5
great- grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by
his wife, Dorothy in 2018; daughter, Angela; brothers: Donald, Fraser,
Medley, Marshall, Clarence, Harold, Roland, Cyril; sister, Ruby and
several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers
& Riverview Funeral Home on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from
6:00pm until 9:00pm.
The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers
and Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 1, 2019 at
11:00am. with Rev: Jonathan Gorham and Pastor Jarvis Lepper
officiating.
Interment will be in Keirsteadville Cemetery at a
later date.
In lieu of flowers donations in Al’s memory made to
the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation, Camp Wildwood or to
the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the
family.
