In Loving Memory of
Mrs. Aline Cummings (nee Poirier)
December 23, 1929 – February 16, 2019
The first night that Mom and Dad met, he asked her to ‘save the last dance for me’. From that day forward that became their song. As her time was nearing the end, Mom had but one request of her children; hold my hands and play the song “Save the last dance for me”.
In a room engulfed in love, on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Anson General Hospital, after blowing us all kisses, with her hands being held tight and her song playing, Mom passed peacefully to join Dad at the age of 89 years.
Loving wife of the late Robert (1975). Cherished Mother of Sharon (The Late Michael Kurdell) of Sudbury, ON, Lorne (Kristin) of Coquitlam, B.C., Charles ‘Chuck’ (Ellen) of Iroquois Falls, Bill (Liseanne) of Bobcaygeon, Anne (Dean) Burgoon of Prescott, Margaret (Joe) Pattison of Iroquois Falls and Lucie Cummings, also of Iroquois Falls. Beloved Grandmother of Lisa, Jennifer, David, Kenzie, Karyl Ann, Kealey, Kyla, Shawn, William, Michelle, Pat, Greg, Michael and Brooke, and Great Grandmother of Claire, Quinn, Ethan, Noah, Chloe, Sebastien, Thomas, Cecilia, Olivia, Jack, and Haley. Aline is also survived by her siblings; Claudette Tuskovitch and Susan Gagnon as well as numerous nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents George and Lucille Poirier, her husband Robert, and her siblings Nola, Merle, Lucie and Yves and her son in law Michael.
There will be a private family graveside service in the spring. In Memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Anson General Hospital Foundation – Hospice Room and would be appreciated by the family.
