Van Leeuwen, Adriana (Jane)
Passed away peacefully with family by her side at the St. Catharines
General Hospital on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. In her 96th year,
(Jane) Adriana Van Leeuwen (nee Overgaag), beloved wife of the late
(Neil) Cornelis Van Leeuwen. Loving mother of Gerry (Kate), Clasina
(Harry) Brands, Casey (Penny) and Mare (Terry) Bush. Loved Oma of
Jerusa, Jake (Yuki), Josh, David (Alena), Lisa (Jeff), Jessie and
Erin. Great Oma of Savannah, Tosha, Claire, Alexi, Clayton, Cameron,
Piper, Emma and Evelyn. Dear sister of Pauline (late Arnold) Rockx,
Aad (late Joke), Ans (Kees) Van Leeuwen. Fondly remembered by her
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by four brothers. Rev. Kees, Rev.
Bert, Wim and Jan and by one sister Cor.
Visitation will be held at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court
Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Friday, March 1, 2019 from
2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9am. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral
home on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 3pm. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated at St.Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, 315 Queenston
Street, St. Catharines (905-687-6971) on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at
11am. Rite of committal to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens
Cemetery, Fonthill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the
Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society
would be appreciated by the family.
