On February 7th, 2019, Adeline Lerohl (nee Manowski) passed away peacefully at the age of 85.
Adeline will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends.
Adeline is survived by her husband of 55 years, Mel; her children Karen (Mark) Belanger, Dawn (Pat) Kiernan, and Mark (Brita) Lerohl; her grandchildren, Matthew, Paul and Rachel Belanger; Lucy and Maeve Kiernan; and Lars and Magnus Lerohl; and her siblings Dennis (Norma) Manowski and Elsie Hall.
Adeline grew up on the family farm outside of Mundare, but travelled widely after she moved to Edmonton, Vermilion, Toronto, Michigan, Ottawa, and then back to Edmonton. As she was raising her family, she learned the craft of pottery, began selling her work and taught pottery classes for many years. After retiring from pottery, she picked up her childhood mandolin and joined the St. Nicholas Mandolin Ensemble. She loved meeting people, travelling to new places, and was devoted to her church. Her grandchildren will always remember playing mini-golf and making chocolate muffins with Nana.
A Memorial service will be at Riverbend Lutheran Church,495 Rhatigan Road East NW, Edmonton, AB at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 12th with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada (Alberta and Northwest Territories) at #308, 14925-111 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5M 2P6 or online donations at www.alzheimer.ab.ca.
