The passing of Madelene Adell Brown of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Charles Brown occurred on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at York Care Centre. Born on February 7, 1924 in South Devon, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Laura (Stafford) Savage. Madelene was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church.

Madelene is survived by her daughters, Thea Waterhouse of Fredericton, NB and Charlene Sayre of Kanata, ON; son, Richard Brown (Anne) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Brian Brown, Shawna Verburgh (Dave), Dr Chris Waterhouse (Amy), Tina Campbell (Greg), Kelly Waterhouse, Catherine Hill (Geoff) and Janet Dion (Dave); great grandchildren, Alex and Maddie, Cody, Brianna and Carter, Grant, Ryan and James, Chanse, Malaika and Myles. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, May (Savage) Nicholson, Jean (Sacre) White and Hazel Savage; three brothers, Harry Savage, George Sacre and Austin Savage, and son in law, Paul Sayre.

A Service will take place at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Fredericton, NB at a time that will be announced. Interment will take place at Fredericton Rural Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church – Entrance Renovation Fund or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
