Mary Frances Murphy (MacIntosh)
July 29, 1938 – February 25, 2019
Mary entered the Intensive Care Unit of the Montfort Hospital on January 25, and was later transfered to the cardiac care unit of the Heart Institute. The family thanks the doctors and nurses of both hospitals for their professional and compassionate care of Mary during her battle with heart failure. She died peacefully on Monday February 25, in her 81st year. Mary is survived by her husband of 55 years Bernard (a.k.a.Brian), her daughters Kelly Anne, Heather Spence (Kevin) and grandchildren Hannah Schulz, Darwin, Huxley, and Mary-Anne Spence as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Pre-deceased by her son Kevin, her siblings Douglas (late Mildred), Murray (Donella), Betty (late Bernard Wagner and the late Lyle Robinson) and Ken (Barbara). Friends and family are invited to visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 1200 Ogilvie Road (at Aviation Parkway) Ottawa, on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday March 2 from 12 noon followed by the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. A reception to follow. A private interment of cremated remains will take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to either the Montfort Hospital Foundation or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
