Howard William Jenkins
1943-2019
Howard Jenkins of Woodstock and formerly of Southampton, NB, passed
away at the Upper River Valley Hospital on February 25, 2019. Howie
was born on June 6, 1943, a son of the late Raymond and Annie Jenkins.
Howie enjoyed playing crib and never missed a Wednesday night at
Southampton Hall. He played bingo, loved to hunt and fish and spend
time with his grandchildren. He faithfully watched the Maple Leafs
and the Blue Jays, voicing his opinion whether good or bad to the TV.
He is survived by two sons, Howard (Jay) Jenkins Jr.(Nicole) and John
Jenkins (Kelly), both of Woodstock, NB; a daughter, Arlene Watson
(Ernie), Northampton, NB; a step-son, Beverly Tompkins, Nackawic, NB;
a daughter-in-law, Shelly; two grandsons, Cody Jenkins (Isabelle) and
Ryan Watson; three granddaughters, Trish Young (Justin), Chelsea
Jenkins and Gracie Jenkins; one great grandson, Dawson; three great
granddaughters, Ashley, Maddy and Chloe; three brothers, Raymond
(Anita), Bobby and Kenny; two sisters, Lois and Sharon;
brothers-in-law, Sherwood Tompkins, Kenneth Rockwell and Julien Lagacy
and a sister-in-law, Zella Tompkins; several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Eileen
(Tompkins) Jenkins; an infant daughter, Donna and a grandson, Howard
III and several relatives in the Tompkins family.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral
service will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 2 pm from the
funeral home chapel with Rev. Carl and Evelyn Brewer. Interment will
be held at a later date at Otis Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Rockwell, Kevin Cronkhite, Reggie Phillips,
Michael Boone, Jared Tompkins and Donald Brooks.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Howie, the family
has suggested the Middle Southampton Community Hall.
